Boston Celtics Vs. Los Angeles Lakers Predictions
The Boston Celtics are having quite the road trip in the West, and they are set to have a favorable matchup when taking on the lousy Los Angeles Lakers on a Saturday Night showdown in the NBA. Can LeBron James and company wake up or are they done? It’s going to be fun to watch. Who knew the Celtics actually had in them to play like a team. We have been expecting this type of form to show up, and they are finally giving it to us. Boston has won two in a road against the Golden State Warriors and the Sacramento Kings. They still have both teams from Los Angeles left in the schedule, but the Lakers seem like the easier task of all.
When the oddsmakers made the Celtics the favorites to win the Eastern Conference early in the season, it was expecting exactly what they have shown us in the last two outings. MyBookie.ag has Boston at +3000 and there is value there. Maybe I’m getting too caught up in the moment, but this team has shown glimpses of what they can do in the playoffs. It looks like they are catching fire just at the right time. The Lakers are the complete opposite. They have mailed in this season and are apparently ready to go on vacations. As soon as LeBron said “playoffs mode activated” the team followed it with four losses in a row, racking up six defeats in the last 7 outings.
Los Angeles is 6.5 games behind the Clippers in the race for the last seed in the Western Conference. Technically, James and company still have a shot at the playoffs if they somehow sort things out and make a run. But that leap seems over the top as we speak. The team is broken from the inside, and they are imploding in front of our eyes. If you hate the Lakers, it’s a beautiful thing to watch. The Lakers have failed to cover the spread in the last seven straight games. Betting against them has been profitable if you have been smart enough to go against them in the previous two weeks. Let’s double it down on Saturday Night. I know it’s a rivalry game, but the LA locker room is a lousy quality soap opera. What’s the play? Celtics.
