Do you like drama? The NBA is giving us quite the drama storyline coming out of Hollywood.
The Lakers’ collapse in the last stretch of the season is both fun and incredible to watch.
If Los Angeles wants a playoffs spot this season, it’s time they start racking wins. When LeBron James moved to Los Angeles, high hopes for the franchise were back.
The team has missed the playoffs for the past five years, but that supposed to come to an end when King James signed, right? Well, it hasn’t worked that way at all.
Denver Nuggets Vs. Los Angeles Lakers Predictions
The Lakers are 5.5 games behind the San Antonio Spurs for the last spot to the playoffs in the Western Conference.
The Lakers have lost three in a row and five of the last six outings. Los Angeles lost their previous two against teams they needed to beat.
First, they had an awful showing against the Phoenix Suns, which is a team that is not even trying to win. Then, they dropped another one against the Clippers, a team that is a direct opponent for a playoffs spot. James and the Lakers seem tired of each other.
It’s like the team is ready to mail it in and start thinking about next season.
The majority of these players won’t be around for the 2019-20 season, so why wait to blow this thing open? At the other side are the Denver Nuggets, who are also in a three-game losing streak.
However, there is no sense of panic with the Nuggets. They are in second place in the Western Conference, three games ahead of the Oklahoma City Thunder. Denver is in a rough stretch, but there is nothing to worry about.
This squad plays as a team, and that formula will end up taking them back to the winning column.
In fact, facing a team like the Lakers is the perfect opportunity to shake off their recent woes.
These two teams have split a win per side this season.
However, the Nuggets destroyed the Lakers by 32 points the last time they met in November. Denver is a better team now, and we can safely say Los Angeles is a lot worst.
What’s the play? Nuggets.
