LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers are in need of a winning streak that puts back in the postseason race in the Western Conference.
The bad news is they are about to face the best team in the NBA, the Milwaukee Bucks, in Primetime on Friday night. The Lakers finally snapped a two-game losing streak by beating the New Orleans Pelicans 125-119 on Wednesday night. Los Angeles has been a horrific bet over the last two weeks.
They have covered the spread just twice in the previous eight games.

But the Lakers issues are not only as a lousy bet but as a team overall. LeBron James has spent the last two weeks calling outs teammates. Their effort has been weak since the All-Star break, and nobody other than James has a secured spot on this team for next season. That includes coach Luke Walton, whose job has been in jeopardy since the start of the season.
The Lakers are three games away from the eighth seed in the West, which right now belongs to the Los Angeles Clippers. Even with LeBron, there are just too many holes on this team to trust they will figure it out and make the playoffs.
Milwaukee is just here to keep winning. They have the best record in the NBA and have looked like a real contender all season. The Bucks enter this game with six wins in a row and 12 victories in their last 13 games.
The Orlando Magic was the only team who was able to get in the way of this unreal winning form they have. Giannis Antetokounmpo lost to LeBron James at the All-Star game in a meaningless game.
I’ll bet anything Giannis wants some payback against LeBron despite it was an exhibition game.
A win will be three times as meaningful in a game that actually matters. Let’s put it this way.
The Lakers are a clown show right now and at the other end is the best team in the entire league. Perhaps with the MVP favorite, Giannis Antetokounmpo, wanting to show James and the rest of the Hollywood audience they are for real.
