Chicago Blackhawks Vs. Dallas Stars Predictions

The Chicago Blackhawks are falling behind in the race for a wildcard spot in the NHL Western Conference playoffs.

However, a win over the Dallas Stars this weekend will put them back in contention.

The issue is Dallas is having none of it. The Stars are currently in great shape trying not only to be a playoffs team but looking to be one of the hottest sides in the league when the postseason arrives.

The good news for Chicago is they won their last outing against the Buffalo Sabres (5-4) to remain in the race. The bad news is they are 10 points behind the Stars in the wildcard battle and nine away from the Minnesota Wild.

The Blackhawks are pretty much with their backs against the wall.

With 15 games left to play Chicago needs to put a serious winning streak together to have a shot at a playoffs spot.

They have won just two of their last six games, and that form doesn’t help. In fact, in those previous six games, one of the losses was at home against Dallas.

The Stars are the complete opposite. They are in a great position to secure a postseason seed as a wildcard. Dallas, however, can’t take the foot out of the gas right now.

If they continue with their form, they will be a headache even for the top seeds when the playoffs get here.

Dallas has won four in a row and five of their last six. During the week they gave us a winning play by destroying the Colorado Avalanche (4-0) in a meeting between teams that in the wildcard mix. Goalie Ben Bishop stopped 31 shots, and Alexander Radulov had his first career hat trick against Colorado.

Good luck trying to stop this team that seems to be in the zone right now. To make it worst for Chicago, the Stars have dominated the series in the most recent meetings.

Dallas won five of the last six games against Chicago, including their 4-3 win just a couple of weeks ago in the Windy City.

The over has cashed in the last two games in the series. Momentum is a big deal in hockey and especially when a playoffs seed is at stakes. I can’t go against the hot team right now.

What’s the play? Dallas.
